Why do some products say “price pending confirmation”?

We only enable checkout for items whose selling price and inventory have been confirmed by the merchant. Until then the product page stays live for information, but the item can't be added to the cart.

Checkout currently runs in test mode. Orders are recorded and confirmed, but no card is charged and no card details are collected until live payment credentials are connected to the store.
